The Blue House - Kavouri, Vouliagmeni
The Blue House
is designed as part of a four houses complex in a sloping plot by the sea in such a way as to achieve independence and unrestricted views to the sea.
The steeply sloping natural terrain, the panoramic view of the sea and the pursuit of independence of each house led to the staggered design of the houses, one on top of the other with a parallel setback. ,
The architectural composition is defined by its volumetric design of simple cubic lines and a two-stories Γconcrete structure shape as a unifying design element of the complex.
The house is developed in three levels with Γ shape plan which is completed with an outdoor protected area of daily living, an "intermediate" between indoor and outdoor space. Large glass surfaces allow light to penetrate deep into the house and its residents to enjoy direct contact with the garden and the sea from every part of the house.
